The one thing that was really disturbing...My husband really likes coffee. So, he decided to make a little coffee...but, the coffee pot was so dirty...it had mold in the pot. Also, when we were attempting to leave on Sat. Morning, we could not get out of the door. It seemed to be broken...so, we had to carry our luggage to the other end and then once outside ....go around the building to our car.
I liked the Mexican free-tail bats swooping around the breakfast area and the bugs falling from the ceiling.
The first thing I did not like was the lack of customer service. The receptionist refused to facilitate payment in cash, refused to make a call to a taxi company, supplied a phone number to a company that does not operate in the area, refused to re-swipe the hotel room key when it failed to open the door, and refused to admit guests to the room on the second night of the stay without production of a receipt, which of course, was stored in the room. Cleanliness was also an issue with the hotel room. Finally, we booked a hotel room with an extra bed to accomodate our group. However our room was allocated to another group leaving us one bed short. Again, customer service was lacking with a suitable room provided only after some time had passed and withou any apology or acknowledgement of a mistake.
The manager was very rude to myself and my friends
it was a good price for the type of room
hotel was very isolated, didn't feel safe. staff not friendly,no iron in room, no bath towels in room.
Close in town and to UT
Not the picture I received on the internet....Halls had no air. Minimal breakfas choices...No pool. Obviously, renovating is going on.
No Ice or soda machines in my bldg. Ice cold shower on second day. Breakfast wasn't even a continental breakfast had to pour milk from a gallon jug on my cereal. Two doors down from mine there was an all night craps game going. If you want to buy crack and gamble this place is for you!!!!!
Not clean and that's being nice, rooms are loud, breakfast offered is ridiculous
The rooms are big with everything you need
breakfast wasn't anything special, and wi-fi signal was definitely too low.
Good price, clean room and cental location
When we arrived we were given a dirty room with broken glass all over room. Clerk said we were not guaranteed a sofa bed when I selected Travelodge for that reason. Eventualy we were accomodated with a clean room and sofa bed after we complained.
There is a cricket problem at the hotel which should be on the website and not the hotel reception where its to late to book elsewhere, used travelodge many times in other countries never a problem however would never use this on again, had a fousty smell from whenever you enter the reception area and the 2 x girls that checked us in were not very accademically clever took 15 minutes to register the room key then next day we were locked out as they charged 2 days and only registered us 1 day. NEVER AGAIN
It was not that far away from UT which is why I was in Austin.
If you can avoid this hotel, please do. My room was dirty and smelled and the bathroom door would not close. All of that I could have gotten over but the people staying there were scary. I was afraid to leave my room for dinner because the people around me were acting a little wierd. Should have gone across the parking lot to the Holiday Inn.
Sofa bed mattress was stained and chicken bones behind sofa.
I liked that it was clean, air conditioner worked great and I found the kind of room that I am always looking for at a great price.
I can't think of anything I didn't like.
For a resonably priced motel it was clean, the bed was comfortable and there were no insect infestations. I could have found a cheaper room but probably would have had to sacrifice one of the above.
It isn't located where the Booked.net map shows it is located. That made it a hassle to find it after the sun went down. It is a little tricky to get back to the hotel from areas south of the motel. Getting to the rest of Austin is easy when heading out. The free breakfast choices are limited. I'd pay money for a real breakfast.
The room was very clean and it was a quiet stay.
